Here's Anchorage Animal Care and Control's Adoption of the Week, courtesy of Brooke Taylor, AACCC public relations coordinator.

Here is Gorgeous, and she is that… as well as cute, sweet, friendly!  She is an adult, spayed female, pit bull mix.  Active, curious, alert and attentive, Gorgeous is affectionate and playful, handles fine on leash, and has a calm, focused disposition. She likes her walks and outings, exploring, playing catch, and getting regular daily exercise. She's lived with dogs and children and was friendly with both. She will chase small animals, however, so should not go to a home with cats. Special thank you to the Alaska SPCA, as they donated her spay surgery, reducing her adoption fees by $80!  She can now be adopted for $72, which includes her MOA dog license, vaccinations, and microchip.

Adoption update: Kamu has been adopted. :)
