Three Seawolves make All-Academic Volleyball Team

AnchorageNovember 20, 2013

Three UAA volleyball players were recognized for their work off the court Wednesday, being named to the Great Northwest Athletic Conference All-Academic Volleyball Team.

Sophomore outside hitter Sarah Johnson posted one of two 4.0 GPAs among the 41 athletes selected. Senior setter Siobhan Johansen and senior middle blocker Jodi Huddleston were the other Seawolves to make the list.

Johansen made the squad for the third time, earning a 3.64 GPA in English, and this is the first honor for Huddleston, who posted a 3.22 GPA in history.

To be eligible for the academic team, a student-athlete must have a minimum grade point average of 3.20 and be in at least her second year at her university.
