NAHL report: Fairbanks wins, Kenai River loses

Posted by DOYLE WOODY, on November 23, 2013

The NAHL's Fairbanks Ice Dogs used a goal and an assist each from Doug Rose, Tayler Munson and Colton Wolter to earn a 3-1 win over visiting Wichita Falls tonight in the Golden Heart City.

Meanwhile, on the Peninsula, the Kenai River Brown Bears fell 2-0 to the Minnesota Wilderness.

Wilderness goaltender Kasimir Kaskisuo stopped 35 shots to bag his seventh shutout in just 19 games. He's 13-3-3 with a 1.04 goals-against average and .961 save percentage -- those numbers are simply stupid good.

In the Midwest Division, the Wilderness lead at 16-4-4 for 36 points, followed by Fairbanks at 16-7-0 for 32 points and Kenai River at 13-9-2 for 28 points.
