New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Carolina Hurricanes tough guy Kevin Westgarth has been suspended for two games by the league.

The ban is the result of the 6-foot-4 Westgarth boarding Ottawa defenseman Mark Borowiecki in the first period of Sunday's game.

Westgarth, who did receive a minor penalty, has no points through eight games this season.
