Cashion Gilmore LLC, an Anchorage based law firm specializing in civil litigation and criminal defense, recently celebrated its first anniversary. The firm is pleased to announce the expansion of its practice and the hiring of Samantha Cherot.
Ms. Cherot has most recently focused her practice on criminal defense and she has a broad background in civil litigation. For the past three years, Ms. Cherot has worked as an Assistant Public Defender with the State of Alaska’s Public Defender Agency engaging in extensive trial practice in misdemeanor and felony level offenses.
Prior to that, Ms. Cherot practiced employment and labor law in California. Ms. Cherot received her J.D. from California Western School of Law in 2007 where she was the recipient of the Public Interest Scholarship from the California Bar Association in 2006, and was an honors graduate in the area of employment and labor law. Ms. Cherot received a Bachelor of Science degree from Santa Clara University.
