Skiers go old-school

Mark Iverson and Sally Hokanson earned the men's and women's titles, respectively, on Sunday in the Wooden Ski Classic at Kincaid Park, where skiers used authentic wooden skis and pine tar, dressed in wool sweaters and celebrated afterward with Norwegian-style snacks in the Chalet.

Iverson clocked 15 minutes, 53 seconds, over the five-kilometer (3.1-mile) course. Hokanson was timed in 20:55.
