Updating UAA's recruits and their stats

Nothing much going on in this Aces-Grizzlies game The Blog is listening to, so we figure it's time to tool around the 'ol InterWeb and catch up on how UAA's recruits are doing in their respective junior leagues.

We'll check in first with the recruits we believe are slotted to join the Seawolves next fall and then move on and address the recruits slotted to join UAA in the fall of 2015. (Important to note: Which year a recruit arrives can sometimes be a fluid situation).

In any event, here we go:

Recruits for 2014

* Forward Tad Kozun, Nipawin Hawks, Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League: All good here -- Kozun, with 25-12--37 totals in 25 games, leads his circuit in goals and points. He's also tied for first in power-play goals (7) and short-handed goals (2).

* Goaltender Olivier Mantha, Penticton Vees, British Columbia Hockey League: 8-5-0, 2.49, .898, 2 shutouts, 2 assists.

* Defenseman Jarrett Brown, Cowichan Valley Capitals, BCHL: 4-8--12 totals in 23 games.

* Forward Austin Azurdia, Langley Rivermen, BCHL: 9-10--19 totals in 25 games.

Recruits for 2015

* Forward Jake Larson, Brooks Bandits, Alberta Junior Hockey League: 7-17--24 totals in 32 games (worth noting half his points came in his first five games).

* Forward Matt Anholt, West Kelowna Warriors, BCHL: 8-12--20 in 28 games.

* Forward Anthony Conti, Penticton Vees, BCHL: 7-14--21 in 27 games.

* Forward Cam Amantea, Penticton Vees, BCHL: 8-4--12 in 21 games.

* Forward Alex Jackstadt of Anchorage, Fargo Force, U.S. Hockey League: 0-2--2 in 18 games.
