Aces: Eddy back, Taranto shelved

Alaska Aces rookie winger Andy Taranto, who suffered a shoulder injury in Wednesday's 2-0 loss at Utah is done for the road trip, which extends more than another week, coach Rob Murray said this afternoon.

Murray said Taranto at least separated his shoulder and likely dislocated it, but it popped back into place. Murray said Taranto had an X-ray today, but that won't reveal much, so he will return to Anchorage to be evaluated by team doctors.

The club did get some good news today -- winger David Eddy has been reassigned back to the Aces for Abbotsford of the AHL, so he should be in the lineup Friday for the second game in a three-game set at Utah.

Meanwhile, Murray said defenseman Corey Syvret's lower-body injury suffered Wednesday may not be as bad as initially thought, so the blueliner is questionable at this point for Friday.
