Aces find a backup goalie in former Minnesota netminder Alex Kangas

Just a quick note to report the Alaska Aces, who have been without a backup goaltender for the first three games of an eight-game road, have landed someone to backup Olivier Roy.

The Aces have signed former Minnesota goalie Alex Kangas, who as far as The Blog can tell, has not played since he had a few games with Fort Wayne, then in the CHL, in 2011-12.

Still, he's certainly better than an emergency back-up goalie and will be dressed tonight when the club tries to stop its three-game losing streak in the middle game of a three-game set at Utah.
