It took eight games, but the Kenai River Brown Bears finally got the measure of the Fairbanks Ice Dogs, winning 5-3 on the road in an NAHL game tonight, courtesy of a late third-period rally.

The win was Kenai River's first in eight games against Fairbanks this season. In the first seven games, the Brown Bears gained a single point to Fairbanks' 14 points.

Kenai River trailed 3-2 late in the third period before Matt Rudin (two goals, one assist) and Albin Karlsson scored 76 seconds apart to generate a 4-3 lead. Rudin added an empty-net goal.

Zach Quinn made 35 saves for Kenai River.
