Letter: Strays have helpers

Anchorage Daily NewsDecember 9, 2013

In response to Pearl Nestor’s letter regarding stray cats at her apartment building: There are many organizations and one-person operations that go around and rescue strays. They tirelessly spend their “free” time checking places known to have stray cats left behind when people move. These people have jobs and families, yet they take the time to rescue as many as possible.

Anchorage has a very bad problem with strays. Kodiak is an excellent example of a community that has made a huge difference in stray cats and dogs. Thank you to those in Anchorage for your selfless efforts. Please look to them for your pet adoption wants.
