Anchorage's Bauer powering up in WHL

Posted by DOYLE WOODY, on December 13, 2013

After initially committing to UAF, forward Lane Bauer of Anchorage decided to go the WHL route and signed with the Edmonton Oil Kings in the offseason.

Slow start for the 17-year-old -- took him 13 games to get his first point.

Tonight, though, he enjoyed the best performance of his young career with one goal and two helpers in a 7-3 win over the Lethbridge Hurricanes. That's his first three-point game in the league. It's also the second straight game he has scored a goal.

In 26 games, he owns 3-5--8 and +7 totals.
