Larkin leads UAA at Green & Gold gymnastics meet

UAA freshman Nicole Larkin was the top gymnast in Saturday’s Green & Gold Intrasquad meet at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex. 

Larkin, of Kennewick, Wash., posted a team-high 36.775 in all-around and scored 9.375 in floor exercise to go with 9.2 on uneven bars. UAA’s team total was 181.250. 

The highest score in an individual event was a 9.6 on uneven bars, recorded by sophomore M’rcy Matsunami, who also scored a 9.375 on floor routine. Freshman Kallie Randolph scored a team-best 9.45 on her floor exhibition. 

UAA starts its regular season after the holiday break, taking on Mountain Pacific Sports Federation rival Seattle Pacific on Jan. 10 in Seattle.
