NAHL report, deja vu edition: Fairbanks beats Kenai River

Posted by DOYLE WOODY, on December 14, 2013

Man, this is getting repetitive to type: Fairbanks beat Kenai River.

The NAHL Ice Dogs are now 9-1 against the Brown Bears after tonight's 3-2 victory in Soldotna.

Todd Burgess furnished Fairbanks with one goal and one assist, Hans Gorowsky and Chandler Mabry added goals, Victor Munter racked two helpers and Kevin Aldridge made 26 saves.

Fairbanks leads the Midwest Division at 21-8-0.

Kenai River is just 1-8-1 against Fairbanks, and sits tied for fourth in the six-team division at 14-13-3. Think of it this way: Throw out the games against Fairbanks and Kenai River is 13-5-2 against all other clubs.

The teams still have six meetings this season.

Kenai River got a goal and assist from both Matt Rudin and Eric Purcell, and 33 saves from Zach Quinn.
