UAA's points leaders at the break

Posted by DOYLE WOODY, on December 14, 2013

UAA's almost-literally-last-second 1-0 win over Lake Superior State tonight here at Sullivan Arena -- Brett Cameron cashed in a rebound with 15.9 seconds left -- closed the first half of the season for the Seawolves.

Through 18 games, junior winger Scott Allen leads the club in goals and points with 10-7--17 totals in 18 games. He got the secondary helper on Cameron's goal.

Next is senior center Matt Bailey, whose primary assist on Cameron's goal -- Bailey's shot created the rebound -- gives him 8-8--16 totals in 18 games.

Senior wing Jordan Kwas sits third in team scoring with 5-10--15 totals in 18 games, followed by Blake Tatchell (5-9--14 in 18 games) and Cameron (6-3--9 in 14 games).

Leading the way among defensemen, easily, is junior Austin Coldwell with 3-6--9 totals in 18 games. No other defenseman has more than three points and no other defenseman has scored a goal.

Bailey leads the team in plus-minus at +5, and Kwas and Tatchell are each +1.

And we like to occasionally note the career scoring race between Bailey and Kwas.

Bailey's assist tonight was his 72nd career point, pulling him to within one of Kwas (73). Bailey has played 118 career games, Kwas 104.

Bailey's 35 career goals are tops among active Seawolves, followed by Allen (25) and Kwas (22).
