A 42-year-old Anchorage woman who went missing for nearly two weeks has been found safe, Anchorage police said.

Sandee Hopson went missing Dec. 5, when she never arrived to meet her sister at the Anchorage 5th Avenue mall, police said.

Her disappearance was first reported Saturday. Anchorage police spokeswoman Jennifer Castro said Hopson had a physical medical condition that requires weekly attention.

Police have since located Hopson, and she is safe, Castro said in a brief statement Tuesday.
