Aces: Gorham back in the mix

One of the luxuries of living in a so-called hockey town is that when the pro team, the Alaska Aces, are short of bodies, they can nearly always find a reputable player right here.

Case in point: Defenseman Brad Gorham of Anchorage, who the club signed today.

Gorham helped out the Aces last season, his first year after graduating from UAA, where he played four seasons -- he's an engineer with BP, so he can play ECHL games at night.

He blew down to the Lower 48 to help out for a bit earlier this season and, given his signing, The Blog would expect him in the lineup tonight when the Aces entertain Utah to open an eight-game homestand.
