Regional Native corporation names new CEO

The Associated PressDecember 20, 2013

— Regional Native corporation Koniag Inc. has named a new CEO.

Elizabeth Perry is expected to start her new post on March 1.

Interim president Tom Panamaroff says Perry will meet with the Koniag board following her first day to determine whether she will fill both president and CEO roles, or just one.

The Kodiak Daily Mirror says the Native corporation for the Kodiak Archipelago has been led by Panamaroff and board chairman Ron Unger since March 31, when former president/CEO Will Anderson resigned amid poor finances for the corporation.

Perry's has been an executive for Phoenix-based SWCA Environmental Consultants. She established the company's Anchorage and Seattle offices and was the firm's Pacific regional manager.
