We have a Scott Howes sighting

Posted by DOYLE WOODY, adn.com on December 20, 2013

Our man Scott Howes, the Kelly Cup MVP on the Alaska Aces' march to the hardware in 2011, has turned up back in North America.

Howes, who began the season in Austria, where he had four points in four games, earlier this week was signed by the Brampton Beast of the Central Hockey League and made his debut for the club tonight.

Howes had an assist and three shots on goal, and was -1, in a 4-3 road loss to the Allen Americans (Former Aces goaltender Mark Guggenberger was the back-up for Allen).

Former Aces captain Steve Ward, a defenseman, also plays for Brampton, but he must be hurt. He's played just four games this season and currently is on the 30-day IR.
