WHAT: A new, multiuse facility oriented to providing enhanced services for travelers in and out of Ted Stevens International Airport. The backbone of the facility will be a 1000-space valet parking garage, with 24/7 service to the airport. Customers will simply drop their cars off under a covered drop-off area and return to a heated car, running in the same area they left it. Vans will run continuously to the airport to drop and collect travelers, saving them the long walk through the parking lot. The facility will have a unique look as the main building will be modeled after a large aircraft. The facility will also serve as an expanded display area for the Alaska Aviation Museum, with three to four historical airplanes on display. Other components of the facility include a family style restaurant, meeting space for small conferences and public meetings, and a small store selling travel and aviation related items.

Knowing their valet parked vehicle is protected and waiting for their return, travelers will feel safe and secure as they return from a trip to find their vehicle, warm and ready for their drive home," said a company spokesperson. Alaska MasterPark will be the closest Valet Parking operation to Ted Stevens International Airport.
WHEN: Alaska MasterPark is scheduled for a soft opening in December, with operations in full swing in Spring 2014.
