Freezing rain advisory in effect for Anchorage

The National Weather Service has issued a freezing rain advisory for the Anchorage area through 9 a.m. Thursday.

The forecast is for light freezing rain to become mixed with snow Thursday morning, then tapering off by mid-day.

The ice accumulation is expected to be less than a tenth of an inch, with temperatures in the upper 20s and lower 30s. Less than an inch of snow accumulation is expected, the weather service said.
