Prep hoops: Dimond girls cruise past Sitka

After losing by two points to West Valley in the first round of the Joe Floyd Tournament in Kodiak, the Dimond girls basketball team rebounded with a 59-26 nonconference victory over Sitka in the second round on Friday. 

Rohyn Huss led the charge for the Lynx, scoring 18 points and pulling in six rebounds. Tara Thompson added 17 points, and Nikki Forrey pitched in 11.

In other girls action at the tournament, the Kodiak girls, ranked No. 1 in the state, pummeled West Valley 53-33.
