Scott Howes is too good for the Central Hockey League

Former Alaska Aces sniper Scott Howes just killed it for the Central Hockey League's Brampton Beast while The Blog was on hiatus.

In his previous four games, all Howes did was rack 10-4--14 totals and a +9 rating. He did all that goal-scoring damage on 22 shots on goal. He had one game of four goals and five points, and another that included a hat trick.

In 10 games overall, he's 12-9--21 and +8.

Combine that with the 22 games he played for Allen last season and in Howes' last 31 games in the CHL, he has delivered 33-22--56 totals and a +17 rating. Those are just dumb numbers.

He obviously is ECHL-AHL material, but the bet here is he's pulling down good money in the CHL. Howes, if you need reminding, was the Kelly Cup MVP when the Aces hoisted the hardware in 2011.
