Aces winger Trupp summoned to AHL Abbotsford

With two Alaska Aces stalwarts already up with AHL Abbotsford, a third is on the way -- winger Evan Trupp of Anchorage has been loaned to the Heat.

The promotion is the first AHL gig for Trupp, 26.

Trupp is tied for the Aces lead in goals, and sits second in assists and points with 10-20--30 totals and a +7 rating in 33 games. He's also been durable -- he and captain Nick Mazzolini are the only Aces to play in all 33 games.

Trupp has delivered 2-5--7 totals in the last five games. With Abbotsford, he joins Aces defenseman Kane Lafranchise, who has been with the Heat long-term, and winger Jordan Kremyr, who Saturday made his AHL debut.

Trupp will join the Heat on the road -- they play Wednesday at Rockford, tIll., hen have a weekend set in Grand Rapids, Mich., before returning to British Columbia on an eight-game homestand.

The Aces, who just went 2-0-1 on a three-game trip to San Francisco, return to the ice Wednesday, when they open a three-game homestand against the Las Vegas Wranglers.
