Prep hockey: Dimond downs West Valley

Aidan Teilborg and Brandon Sakumoto enjoyed three-point nights Wednesday in Dimond's 5-1 nonconference hockey win over West Valley at Ben Boeke Arena.

Teilborg scored two goals and an assist and Sakumoto delivered one goal and two assists for the Lynx. Drake Glover added a goal and an assist, Greg Pfiefer contributed two assists, and Blaise Thompson had one goal.

The game was tied 1-1 after first-period goals by Sakumoto and West Valley's Ethan Daniels. Glover scored the second period's only goal to give Dimond a 2-1 lead, which the Lynx padded with three goals in the third period.

Lane Wood made 27 saves for West Valley. Chris Gardeline stopped 22 shots for Dimond.
