Wine of the Week: Jim Barry Cover Drive Cabernet Sauvignon

January 16, 2014

The Jim Barry Cover Drive Cabernet Sauvignon has always been a go-to value red. Even though Barry has died, his sons and grandsons are carrying on the tradition. Most of the fruit for this cabernet comes from their precious Coonawarra vineyard. Its leafy, fresh, herbed aroma is classic for the Australian area. The Coonawarra itself is a huge piece of limestone, which is the key. This is highly coveted vineyard land. Try some and see what the fuss is all about. Costs about $20.
