UAA has received a commitment from an offensive defenseman for next season, according to Chris Heisenberg's excellent and reliable recruiting site.

Headed here is Christian Weidauer, a 20-year-old blueliner who in 44 games for the BCHL's Prince George Spruce Kings has racked 10-27--37 totals, which ranks him second on the circuit among defensemen.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pounder shoots right-handed. He is from Ontario and playing in his first season in the BCHL. Before this season, he played in the Central Canada Hockey League.
