Summerhays rebounds perfectly

Friday night was a tough one for Notre Dame senior goaltender Steve Summerhays of Anchorage -- he stopped just three of 7 shots in roughly half a game and got the hook in a 4-0 Hockey East loss to Northeastern.

Coach Jeff Jackson gave Summerhays the start tonight in the series finale, and he bounced back big, stopping 36 shots to rack his 11th career shutout and fifth this season (that's a single-season high for him).

Fighting Irish winger Austin Wuthrich of Anchorage furnished an assist, and Mario Lucia, who was born in Fairbanks, delivered one goal and one helper.

Summerhays improved to 13-8-1 with a 2.01 goals-against average and .923 save percentage.
