Prep boys hoops: Saturday's results

West 45, Dimond 27

The West defense held Dimond to 10 baskets and 23 percent shooting Saturday in a 45-27 Cook Inlet Conference boys basketball win at West.

Robert Gross scored 10 points and three others chipped in nine apiece for the Eagles — Da’Zhon Wyche, Don McMorris, Brandon Huffman. Deandre Wilson helped out with eight rebounds and four steals.

Dimond, held to two points in the first quarter, got nine points apiece from Muhamad Cole and Austin Osborne.

Service 69, Eagle River 53

Reece Robinson pumped in 20 points Saturday to help Service cruise past Eagle River 69-53 in a CIC boys game at Eagle River.

Ihro Raguindin added 15 points for the Cougars.

Thomas Jones led Eagle River with 16 points, and Justin Patin added 11.

East 78, Bartlett 63

A double-double from Eudy Gomez and double-figure scoring from three others paved the way for East’s 78-63 CIC triumph over Bartlett on Saturday.

Gomez amassed 18 points, 10 rebounds and four steals for the T-birds. Matt Gwayi-Chore added 19 points five rebounds and four steals, Desmond Johnson furnished 13 points, seven assists and six rebounds, and Louis Bonner chipped in 13 points.

Marquis White’s 14 points and Darian Lewis’ 10 sparked Bartlett.
