Girls prep hoops: West, East triumph

West 69, Dimond 56
Marshala Eady racked up 19 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists Saturday, helping West take a rare victory over Dimond, 69-56, in a Cook Inlet Conference girls basketball game at West.
Chanel Bookert added 19 points for the Eagles.
Tara Thompson sparked Dimond with 26 points and five steals. She netted six of 11 shots from 3-point range.
East 55, Bartlett 35

Getting a boost from its bench, East beat Bartlett 55-35 in a CIC girls game Saturday at East.

Taria Page’s game-high 17 points led the T-birds, whose bench outscored Bartlett in the second half. Dajah Motuga added 11 points for East.

Nadine Fraker led Bartlett with 16, including 12 in the first half.
