Anchorage fighter Enz loses UFC debut

Anchorage’s Andy Enz lost his UFC fighting debut Saturday in Newark, N.J.

Octagon veteran Clint HeSter won by unanimous decision, beating Enz 30-27, 30-27,  30-26).

The loss was the first in eight pro fights for Enz, a service High graduate who got his start at AFC Fighting at Sullivan Arena. Hester moved to 9-3 and is 3-0 in UFC action.

Hester dominated, although Enz showed scrappiness. He recovered from a first-round punch that sent him to the floor and survived two takedowns in the second round, according to a report by Fox Sports.
