Dusser back on podium for UAA ski team

Sophomore All-American Marine Dusser was back on the podium Saturday for UAA, this time for her third-place finish in the women’s 15-kilometer freestyle at the Colorado Invitational in Steamboat Springs, Colo.

Dusser also placed third in Friday’s 5-K classic race.

The Seawolves are in fifth place after four of the six events in the meet, which also includes alpine skiing in Winter Park, Colo. Denver leads with 512 points; UAA has 324 points.

Other top-15 finishers for UAA included senior Lukas Ebnar, who placed seven the men’s 20-K freestyle, and junior Niki Harmanen, who finished 14th in the men’s slalom. The top UAA skier in the women’s slalom was Isabella Andreini, who finished 22nd.

In the men’s 20K freestyle in Steamboat Springs, Colo., senior Lukas Ebner paced UAA with a seventh-place showing, crossing the finish line at 53:23.2.
