Anchorage's Alec Butcher commits to Sacred Heart

Forward Alec Butcher of Anchorage, tied for the NAHL scoring lead in his second season with the Kenai River Brown Bears, has committed to Sacred Heart of Atlantic Hockey, according to collegecommitments.com and Chris Heisenberg's recruiting site.

Butcher, 19, owns 18-31--49 totals and a +15 rating in 44 games.

He leads the circuit in assists and in power-play points with 5-16--21 totals with the man advantage.

His 140 shots on goal also tie him for ninth on the circuit.

Last season, his first in the NAHL, Butcher furnished the Brown Bears 10-20--30 totals and a +11 rating in 41 games.
