A story on Thursday's front page about an Alaska Board of Fisheries decision to encourage shallower commercial fishing nets in Cook Inlet incorrectly referred to the size of the nets in inches. The nets are 29-mesh or 45-mesh, with the larger mesh extending deeper into the water.

A story on page B-1 Thursday about the re-opening of the Richardson Highway near Valdez incorrectly reported the amount of snow removed from the roadway. Roughly 200,000 cubic yards of snow were removed, according to the state Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, not 54 tons.
