Renée Fleming in the title role and Dolora Zajick as Ježibaba in Dvořák's "Rusalka."

KEN HOWARD — Metropolitan Opera

Fresh from the Superbowl, where she sung the National Anthem, Renee Fleming stars in the title role of Dvorak's water nymph, Rusalka, in the live-from the Metropolitan Opera big-screen showings at theaters. Anchorage opera fans can see the show at Century 16 or Regal Tikahtnu theaters at 12:55 p.m. Saturday.

An encore presentation is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, and it appears that some Alaska theaters may be taking a third showing on Thursday, though I can't quite decipher the listings this far out.

If you miss the big screen version, or want to hear it again for free, KLEF radio will broadcast the same production at 2 p.m. on Sunday.
