Celtics sign Johnson to multi-year deal

Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Boston Celtics signed guard/forward Chris Johnson to a multi-year contract on Friday.

Per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Johnson has appeared in eight games for the Celtics this season, averaging 7.6 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per contest. His second and final 10-day contract with the team had expired on Thursday.

The 23-year-old Dayton product owns career averages of 5.6 points, 2.1 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 16 games over parts of two seasons with Memphis and Boston.
