Another win for UAA skier Ebner

Lukas Ebner won his second NCAA race of the season Friday, blazing to victory in the men’s 10-kilometer classic race at the University of New Mexico Invitational.

Ebner, a senior from Germany, finished in 32 minutes, 58.1 seconds to beat runnerup Niklas Persson of Utah by 10 seconds. UAA freshman Etienne Richard was sixth in 33:39.6.

UAA boasted three top-five performances — two in nordic racing, one in alpine — and is in sixth place in the team standings after the first day of competition.

Marine Dusser, a sophomore from France, posted her third consecutive third-place result for the Seawolves, clocking 20:28.3 in the women’s 5-K.

Niko Harmanen, a junior from Finland, notched a season-high fourth-place finish in the men’s slalom.
