Clippers' Paul expected to return Sunday

The Sports NetworkFebruary 8, 2014

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul is expected to return to the court for Sunday's tilt with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Paul missed the past 18 games after suffering a Grade 3 AC Joint separation in his right shoulder on Jan. 3.

Clippers coach Doc Rivers originally said there was a "50-50" shot for Paul to return Sunday, but after practice on Saturday he reassessed the situation.

"He looked great [in practice]," Rivers said. "We plan on playing him."

Paul, who was named a starter for next week's All-Star game, is averaging 19.6 ppg, 11.2 apg, 4.6 rpg and 2.4 spg.

It's his seventh straight All-Star appearance.
