Dusser, Ebner earn MVP ski honors for UAA

Marine Dusser and Lukas Ebner captured MVP nordic honors for the season Saturday with their finishes at the New Mexico Invitational in Red Rock, N.M.

Dusser won the women's 10-kilometer freestyle, and Ebner placed third in the men's 10-K race. It was Dusser's third win of the season and Ebner's fifth top-three finish of the season, clinching the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association's MVP awards. It was the first time the Seawolves have swept the MVP awards.

Dusser's victory came in 34 minutes, 56.2 seconds. Ebner clocked 29:54.1.

UAA placed fifth in the team standings with 436 points. New Mexico won the meet with 655.

The Seawolves posted two other top-15 showings Saturday. Etienne Richard finished 12th in the men's 10-K, and Niko Harmanen placed 15th in men's slalom
