Roy's roll gets slowed

Alaska Aces goaltender Olivier Roy, who won his first three starts with AHL Abbotsford, hit a a hiccup today.

Roy got the hook in a 7-2 loss to visiting Texas after giving up four goals on 24 shots in 30:53. Former Ace Joni Ortio, just sent down from NHL Calgary for the Olympic break, surrendered goals on the first two shots he faced and stopped 14 of 17 overall.

In any event, Roy for the Heat is now 3-1-0 with a 2.78 goals-against average and .919 save percentage.
