Lane, Lamb rule Alyeska slopes

Margo Lane and Charlie Lamb of the Alyeska Ski Club used strong, consistent performances to claimed the overall titles in the Alaska state alpine championships, which concluded Sunday at Alyeska Resort.

Lane capped her series of races Sunday by winning the super combined and placing second in the slalom.

Frances Ruth Carlisle won Sunday's slalom to place third among girls in the overall standings. Sarah Lundgren finished second overall.

Winners among the boys on Sunday were Barren Cabana in the super combined and Clayton Wade in the slalom. Wade placed third in the overall standings behind Lamb and Garret Mashburn.
