Photo article facilitates family reconciliation

We got word of unexpected fallout from Sunday's article about Anchorage photo studio Treft.Punkt's project to create a series of portraits of same sex couples. Photographer Mitch Ketter wrote to say:
"One of our subjects has had problems with their family accepting their sexual orientation, and (the family) has not accepted their 6 year relationship. After seeing the photos in the various media sources, the dad called our subject and said, 'I don't understand it, and I don't know why I haven't seen it before, but I see love in the photo of you two.'
"He is now planning on attending their wedding this summer."
