NAHL Fairbanks wins 5th straight

Posted by DOYLE WOODY, on February 14, 2014

They kind of did it the hard way, but the NAHL-leading Fairbanks Ice Dogs won their fifth straight game tonight.

Fairbanks beat visiting Austin 5-4 -- mind you, after leading 4-0 just four minutes into the second period.

Still, the Ice Dogs improved to 36-13-0.

Kyle Lee bagged the game winner late in the second period and also furnished three assists. Jake Bushey, Doug Rose, Chandler Mabry and Ross Olsson all contributed one goal and one assist.

Meanwhile, the Kenai River Brown Bears are idle until next Friday, when they play at Fairbanks.
