Anchorage police identified a body found outside in Midtown last week as 49-year-old John Sallaffie.
Police believe Sallaffie was homeless and do not suspect foul play, said Jennifer Castro, a police spokeswoman, on Wednesday.
Preliminary details of the death nearly mimic the case of 39-year-old Thomas Evan who was found dead in Chester Creek Feb. 1. Both bodies were located by dog walkers, both men were homeless and foul play is not suspected in either case.
The causes of both deaths are still under investigation, Castro said. Police are waiting on toxicology results, which take between four and six weeks, she said. Sallaffie's body was the fourth discovered outside since late December.
