East 53, Dimond 47

Red-hot shooting from Eudy Gomez helped East rally past Dimond 53-47 Saturday in a Cook Inlet Conference boys basketball game at East.

Gomez drained five of eight attempts from 3-point range for a game-high 20 points. Moses Miller added 12 points for the T-birds, who outscored Dimond 14-7 in the fourth quarter for the win.

Dimond landed three players in double figures -- Muhamad Cole (14 points), Zach Deloney (13) and Austin Osborne (10). Osborne also tallied 13 rebounds and three blocks.

Service 69, Chug. 41

Service caught fire in the second half Saturday to break open a close game and coast past Chugiak 69-41 in a CIC game at Chugiak.

Chugiak led 23-22 at the half, but it was all Service after that.

Reece Robinson sparked the Service surge by pouring in 10 of his game-high 17 points in the third quarter. Ihro Raguindin helped out by netting six of his 10 points as Service claimed a 43-30 lead after three quarters.

The Cougars, who owned the second half 47-18, got 12 points from freshman Nathan Fross and 11 from Eben Upton.

Matt Oldenkamp's 11 points led Chugiak.

E. River 62, South 59

A balanced offense that put four players in double figures keyed Eagle River's 62-59 CIC squeaker over visiting South on Saturday.

Three players scored 14 points apiece for the Wolves -- Collin Metzel, Carlos Melvin and Thomas Jones. Eric Andersen chipped in 12.

South got a boost from Jake Swenson's 13 points and Tommy Koloski's 12.

West 76, Bartlett 54

Don McMorris racked 31 points and eight rebounds Saturday to lead West to a 76-54 CIC triumph over host Bartlett.

Isa Wilson supplied 13 rebounds and eight assists and Da'Zhon Wyche added 11 points for the Eagles.

Kage Freelove's 13 points and Marquis White's 10 topped Bartlett.

East 57, Dimond 54

East's Taria Page turned in a 21-point, nine-rebound performance Saturday in a 57-54 Cook Inlet Conference girls basketball victory over Dimond.

Tara Thompson kept visiting Dimond in the game with 22 points and five steals, and Rohyn Huss added 13 for the Lynx.

East trailed by 10 after the first quarter and won the game in the second half, outscoring Dimond 36-23.

Chugiak 66, Ser. 24

Brandy Bookout netted 21 points to lead a trio of double-figure scorers in Chugiak's 66-24 CIC homecourt romp over Service.

Kelly McBride and Anna Ingraham each tossed in 10 points for the Mustangs. Tatiyanna Venable paced Service with 11 points.

West 67, Bartlett 37

The West Eagles got double-doubles from Chanel Bookert and Marshala Eady to remain undefeated Saturday with a 67-37 CIC win at Bartlett.

Bookert pumped in 32 points and grabbed 11 rebounds and Eady contributed 14 points and 13 rebounds for West, which ran its record to 21-0. CeCe Cockerham came close to a double-double with 11 points and eight boards for the Eagles.

Nadine Fraker's 11 points led Bartlett.

South 63, E. River 30

Taylor Murray scored 14 points to lead South past Eagle River 63-30 in CIC action Saturday at Eagle River.

Sadie Hodgson and Hailee Hodgson scored 12 apiece for the Wolverines.

Eagle River was led by Katy Tomter's 11 points.
