Phoenix, AZ (SportsNetwork.com) - Ryan Braun had a two-run homer in his first at-bat back from his 65-game suspension, one of four belted by Milwaukee hitters in the Brewers' 11-3 win over the Oakland Athletics.
Braun, handed a season-ending ban last July for his involvement in the Biogensis scandal, took an 0-1 pitch from Tommy Milone over the wall in the first inning to get Milwaukee off to a strong start in its spring training opener.
Juan Francisco slugged a pair of homers and finished with three RBI in the rout, with Mitch Haniger tacking on a solo blast later on. Francisco, Rickie Weeks and Khris Davis all went 2-for-3 for the Brewers.
Milone served up two of Milwaukee's long balls and allowed three runs on four hits and a pair of walks over a two-inning stint.
Brewers starter Marco Estrada also worked two innings, yielding a pair of runs while also walking two.
Jed Lowrie stroked a two-run double in the loss, while Josh Reddick ended 2- for-2 for Oakland.
