Some other Aces who went on to the NHL

Joni Ortio rocketed up hockey's ladder -- after starting the season with the ECHL's Alaska Aces, he made his NHL debut Thursday night, stopping 22 shots for the Calgary Flames in a 2-0 loss to the Los Angeles Kings.

That got The Blog to thinking: Better let folks know of the other Aces who advanced to the NHL, even if for just a game, after playing for the Aces -- emphasis on after playing for Alaska. (As always, email us -- dwoody@adn.com -- if you think we missed one)

So, here they are: Chris Beckford-Tseu; Zack FitzGerald; Tomas Kana; D.J. King; Charles Linglet; Chris Minard; Anthony Peluso; Ryan Reaves.
