Carissa and Nathan Morton

Carissa and Nathan Morton of Palmer celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary Feb. 21 with a night on the town that included dinner and a movie.

They met at the King Career Center in Anchorage in 1996 and were married in 1999 by their friend and former KCC teacher Mike Woods.

Nate is employed at NHTI in Palmer. Carissa is a stay-at-home mom.

Courtney Grafton and Michael Addy

Courtney Alyce Grafton and Michael Dean Addy are happy to announce their engagement. An outdoor wedding is planned for June 27 in Big Lake.

Courtney graduated from Colony High School in 1998. She received bachelor degrees from Old Dominion University in 2004. Courtney also received a master's degree in public administration in 2007. She serves as a first lieutenant in the Air Force.

Michael graduated from Gilmer High School in 2000. He received a bachelor's degree of chemical engineering from Texas Tech University in 2004. He is pursuing a master's degree in management at Troy University. Michael also serves as an officer in the Air Force.

JAN. 18, 2009 Lisa Erickson and Kent MacLeod

Lisa Erickson and Kent Mac-Leod, both of Anchorage, were married Jan. 18 in Las Vegas.

"On our short vacation to Las Vegas and Disneyland, we kidded ourselves about getting married and arrived home with an exciting surprise for our families," Lisa wrote. "In August, we have planned a cruise to the Virgin Islands to celebrate our marriage."

Lisa is the daughter of Pete and Sondra Barraza (both deceased) of Roseburg, Ore. She graduated from Douglas High School in Winston, Ore., where her three brothers, Scott, Kris and Dennis Barraza, still reside. Lisa has two sons, Layne and Heath Erickson of Anchorage, along with their longtime girlfriends, Jordan Kearns and Kristina Hartman. She has worked at Fred Meyer for 15 years and has owned a small retail business for 11 years.

Kent is the son of Duane MacLeod of Beaverton, Ore., and Vera Gustafson of Anchorage and the late Ron Gustafson. He has a sister, Kim Campbell of Anchorage; brother, Kevin MacLeod of Seattle; two daughters, Emily MacLeod and Amber Christensen; and three grandchildren, Brandon, Bailey and Ainsley. Kent has been employed at Tri Star Distribution for more than 10 years.

Dana Mudd and Kenny Steininger

Dana R. Mudd and Kenny R. Steininger of Wasilla became officially engaged May 3, 2008, and will be married July 25 at the Elks Lodge in Palmer.

Dana is the daughter of Melissa Mudd and George Scharf of Palmer. She graduated from Colony High School in 2002 and works in the insurance industry servicing commercial accounts. Dana enjoys spending time with their dog and cat, Lacey Mae and Louie, relaxing at home, playing volleyball and doing a variety of crafts.

Kenny is the son of Kenneth and Darlene Steininger of Wasilla. He has spent most of his life in Alaska with the occasional move but has always returned. He works at PGS Onshore in Prudhoe Bay as a chief mechanic. When he is not at work, he enjoys four-wheeling, getting muddy, throwing barbecues and productively getting dirty in the garage.

Dana and Kenny are looking forward to their wedding and hope to honeymoon somewhere warm where they can relax on a beach.
