Link: Alaska Dispatch The Native Village of Point Hope wants to know why Animal Planet video footage shot during the Alaska State Troopers investigation of an alleged caribou slaughter near the village last year hasn't been submitted as evidence for the upcoming trial. Fred Grinstein of Animal Planet confirms a crew tagged along as troopers toured the kill zone on the tundra, but he wouldn't go into details. The cable channel isn't planning to air its footage until next year. Eight men are accused of wasting meat from the hunt, and the trial is set to start Nov. 30.
