Link: Juneau Empire Buildings under development or renovation in downtown Juneau's official historic district no longer have to be late Victorian in style, with horizontal canopies and symmetrical rows of small windows above the ground floor. New guidelines allow for other architectural styles, including art deco, art moderne and early-20th-century-commercial.
